-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A general meeting was held in the village hall on December 5th 1968, an attendance at the meeting being 16.. The meeting opened with a reading of the minutes of the last general meeting.

Owing to a great deal of money still needed to pay off club debts no profit was able to be shown. At this point it was stated by the Treasurer that round about £450 was still needed which was good going as only 1 year had elapsed during which time, along with donations from different sources, 4 to 500 had already been raised..

The averages for the season were then read, Mr F Johnson headed the batting, Mr H Pick the bowling and Mr N Shaw and Mr R Pick the catches..

Arrangements were made to run Whist Drives again during winter and also a Christmas raffle. Members were again asked to help with the ground or whatever required doing. It was learned at the meeting that Mr Seymour had given permission for the outfield to be kept mown which to the club and other teams was a great help.

During the past season the club lost a Vice President Mrs Smith, a loss not only as a member but also a great help in all club social activities. Only one change was made in club officials, Mr R Pick was elected as Captain in place of Mr J Sewell. A Vote of thanks was passed for Mr Seymour the club President for attending the meeting and showing such a great interest.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Whist Drive had been held in November with nearly £12 being raised.

A Christmas raffle Whist Drive was held on December 23rd with nearly £70 being raised.

A Whist Drive was held on January 2nd 1969 with nearly £11 being raised

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the club lost its former ground on Church Lane at the end of the 1967 season, Mr Seymour immediately offered the use of his park at Thrumpton Hall.

The opening game was played between the Presidents XI and Thrumpton Cricket Club on the 16th June 1968 and the ground was opened by Rear Admiral Sherbrooke V.C. Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire
