This Saturday sees the 1st team make the short journey over the M1 to Long Whatton.

A village whose team runs on the same lines as Thrumpton with the emphasis on community cricket has seen the club develop from a 1960's cow field to a cracking venue with first class facilities.

Over the years with a little bit of foresight they have managed to build a modern pavilion ably assisted with a bar and outside patio tables to give a cracking view of the game. Add to this with a bit of funding quality covers and electronic scoreboard.

A game between a team with one of the nicest grounds in Leicestershire playing a team with one of the nicest grounds in Nottinghamshire. A touring teams dream.

As for the game, last season saw Long Whatton take the honours winning both games. Thrumpton will be looking to reverse the results after comprehensively beating Bramcote last week.
