Thrumpton Cricket Club has entered the Voneus National Village Cup competition for the first time.

The cup begins with regional rounds with the final taking place at Lord's in September.

The draw has now been made and the Badgers will face a preliminary round trip to Leics & Rutland League side Langtons CC, the game will take on Sunday 9 April, more details will follow on this.

Langtons CC have sides in the Leicestershire & Rutland Premier League, finishing 3rd last season and also a 2nd team who were Division 3 champions last season.

It will be a good challenge for the Badgers and if we actually overcome Langtons and get through the preliminary round, we will then host Checkley CC on Sunday 23 April.
