The Thrumpton KWIK's finished their season with a victory before rain washed out the final game of the season!

The Mini-Badgers travelled to Kegworth on Friday to take part in the final Leicestershire & Rutland Youth League KWIK Cricket Tournament of the season.

After the disappointment of losing their unbeaten record a fortnight ago, the KWIK's were keen to get back to winning ways against Hathern Old.

George Mayell skippered the side with usual captain Sam on holiday.

Hathern batted first and posted 211 from their 8 overs, losing 3 wickets.

In reply Thrumpton were superb as they finished on 264, not losing a single wicket.

It was a superb performance all round with some great fielding keeping the score down and some awesome running between the wickets.

Following the first game we were due to take on Long Whatton in our final game of the season but with a storm in the area, the heavens opened and a decision was made to abandon the final game.

What a fantastic season it has been for the KWIKs with 12 wins and just 1 defeat.

A massive thankyou to all the players, parents and supporters for all your support this season.

This Thursday sees the final training session as the we have the annual Kids v Parents match starting a 6pm!

See you all there!

Thanks again

Sammo & Marky P
