Life Memberships are appointed at the clubs AGM as a reward to people who have made ourstanding contibutions to Thrumpton Cricket Club.
At this years AGM the following we appointed as 'Life Members' of our club.
Rae Shaw
Rae, along with her husband Geoff, set up junior cricket at Thrumpton with the creation of the KWIK Cricket section in 1997. She has also held the role of club Chair for many year in the 2010s as the club continued to grow and develop.
Rae is also a Vice President of the club and contiues to be a great supporter of the club.
Paul Burns
Paul is a former player, coach and also a current panel umpire. He does all the small things around the club that many of you probably don't see, especially rolling the square, spending numerous hours up at the Badger Sett.
He also has been the clubs fixture secretary for many years and also worked tirelessly to source grants and funding for various projects. Despite taking a step back from most roles Paul remains an active member of the clubs commitee.
Ann Sampson
Ann is the clubs tea lady. The first thing many opposition teams ask is 'will there be a tea?' Over the years we have been blessed to have some wonderful tea ladies and Ann is the current custodian of this. You could say Thrumpton CC is famous for its tea.
Despite now being in her 80s, she continues to deliver outstanding teas to feed 'her boys' with the selection of homemade eats and treats.
Thankyou to Rae, Paul and Ann for everything you have done and continue to do for our club and huge congratulations on your life membership.
