Last season a temporary "Picket Fence" was kindly provided by Club member Rob Wilkinson, a local farmer. Over the winter Rob collected the fence and its supporting posts to take them back to his farm to be repainted. Recently Rob returned the fencing now looking resplendent in its new coat of white paint and permanently installed it in front of the Club's patio area.
Rob's donation and winter refurbishment of the Picket Fence has undoubtedly provided the final piece to complete the overall look and improvement to the patio area, as well as providing a much needed safety barrier between it and the outfield.
In addition to the new picket fence, Rob and fellow Club member Max Pickerill, decided to remake the area in front and to the sides of the new patio. To achieve this they delivered 20 tons of Top Soil, levelled it and then reseeded the area with quick growing grass seed, all in their own time and at their own expense.
On behalf of its members, visiting players, all who come to watch and socialise at the Club, the Committee wish to show their appreciation by saying a sincere "Thank you" to both Rob and Max for these improvements to our Club.
