When Trevor Vennett-Smith announced his retirement from cricket, he approached me to ask to organise a team of THRUMPTON LEGENDS to turn out for his final appearance.

On telephoning alot of former players, quite a few responded by saying "The old fart is finally finishing" and other players responded by saying they would gladly turn out.

The team will be made up of LEGENDS from the past of Thrumpton cricket, so if you are not busy please come down to watch the LEGENDS take their final faltering steps on the hallowed turf of Thrumpton CC.

Remember guys and gals, these are the players who got the CLUB where it is TODAY, without these players we would still have the original wooden shed.
