U13's Let It Slip!
Despite a hat trick from Ben Gill the U13's suffered another defeat, this time against Thorpe Arnold in the Leics & Rutland Youth League.
Sunday morning saw the U13's at home again as they took on Thorpe Arnold.
Thorpe Arnold won the toss and chose to bat first on a glorious morning for cricket.
Some superb bowling from skipper Jack (4 overs 3 for 14) and a hat trick from Ben G (3 for 17) had reduced the visitors to 65 for 9 but unfortunately we couldn't get the final wicket and the opening batsmen came back in and finished on 59 not out, with Thorpe Arnold finishing on 124 for 9 from their 20 overs.
In reply the Badgers got off to a great start with Jack retiring quickly but a flurry of wickets saw Thrumpton drop behind the required rate and the boundaries dried up.
The badgers were eventually all out for 93 and suffered a 31 run defeat.
Next week sees the final game of the 1st half of the season as we take on Egerton Park at Thrumpton.
Following this fixture we should find out who our remaining fixtures will be against.
