U13's Go Down Fighting

The U13's travelled to Melton Mowbray hoping to get another win in the Leics & Rutland Youth League, unfortunately though they suffered a 6 wicket defeat.

Thrumpton batted first and posted 107 for 9 from 20 overs thanks to great knocks from Lewis (28 not out), Jack (22) and Jacob Taylor (19)

In reply though Melton Mowbray reached their target with 9 balls to spare despite some late wickets for Jacob Bates (2 for 7) and some tight bowling from Jack (4 overs 0 for 9)

The main thing that cost us though was a total of 39 extra with 33 of those being wides.

Lets hope for a further improvement against Newtown Linford next week at the badger set!
