Thrumpton & Barton 1828-1879 20 of 25

20. 1874

25th July 1874 Thrumpton v Barton

A match was played at Thrumpton on Saturday last between the boys of the 2 villages, which terminated on a victory of the former place. The batting and bowling of G Golder on the Thrumpton side was remarkably good, and the same must be said of G Barrow on the Barton side. We may add that a great portion of thrumpton success of the Thrumpton boys may be attributed to the active fielding of J McClure.
