Matters Arising:

E-on fixture has been arranged for Wednesday 1st August (6pm start). Burgers & Hot Dogs £1.50 + Salad etc. Rae to speak to Laura Hinds at E-on.

Alarm for garage not working (which could invalidate Insurance). Ray Smithson to check movement sensor in garage and report back to Paul Burns.

New water heater fitted for away changing rooms at a cost of £315.00

The club and personnel have been unable to contact John Stanley.

Groundwork:

Ground waterlogged at top end and possibly this weekends fixtures could be cancelled.

Steve Weightman has asked for the covers to be pushed out towards the square or on the wicket because he is struggling to move them on his own.

All players need to make sure that the metal grille gates in the fences are REFITTED BACK INTO POSITION to stop the cattle encroaching onto the outfield and square.

The junior match this Friday (20th July) is awaiting a further ground inspection. Steve Weightman to liaise with Paul Burns.

Steve Weightman has been unable to treat the ground for the fungal infection and red thread due to the poor weather. Keith Towers has been approached to apply weed killer and has quoted £20.

Pavilion Matters:

What has happened to the waste – has it been collected??

The club is to purchase a knife sharpener for the kitchen

Playing Matters:

The 2nd XI have been deducted 8 points and fined £10 for playing an unregistered player (Andy Hussain) at the beginning of the season. This was an oversight by the Clubs League Rep. All relevant paperwork has been handed to Stuart Basford.

Fixtures:

A touring side from Grimsby have requested a fixture on possibly a Friday in August. Paul Burns to arrange.

Treasurers Report and Funding:

The club is currently down £3200 compared to this time last year due to the poor weather and current

financial situation. The club is in debt by approx £780.

The Football Pontoon to start running when football season starts in mid August. Steve Weightman has informed the committee that there are still some monies owing from last year – Steve to speak to Stuart.

Jordan Thelen has volunteered to run pontoon until October when it reverts back to Steve Weightman.

Stuart Basford to speak to GeoDyne on behalf of the Club.

Rae Shaw to speak to Lyn Sykes at Nottinghamshire County Council about a project for the fencing around the ground.

The Annual Race Night is set for Friday 14th September 2012 at Gotham Village Hall at a cost of £170.

Race sponsors are required. Paul Burns to liaise with Mark Sampson and also speak to John Richardson regarding tickets and flyers.

Clubmark:

Nothing to report – ongoing process that will hopefully be completed this winter and hopefully accessed next summer.

Child Protection:

All CRB’s (copies) to be given to Kieran.

Youth and Kwik Cricket:

The kwiks represented the Club in the Radcliffe On Trent festival but were unfortunately knocked out in the semi final stage.

Only two tournament weekends out of 5 were held, Thrumpton Shaw won 4 out of 4 and won the league and Thrumpton Seymour finished 3rd.

The U12’s have won 2 out of 5.

The U13’s have only played 2 matches. Some fixtures still to be played.

The Annual Presentation Evening is going to be in September.

Steve W – Car Boot Sale – Ray Smithson to advertise on Club Website, also leaflet drop by kids in Gotham, Thrumpton, Barton, Clifton etc, advert in Gotham News and also in Nottingham Evening Post. 8am set up, Cars £5 Vans £7. Entrance fee 50p. Bacon & Sausage cobs £2. Tea/Coffee available. Bar selling soft drinks, crisps, sweets etc. Sub committee to set up meeting in the next two weeks.
