A general meeting was held in the village hall on Friday 18th November 1977 in the presence of 18 members. Mr G Seymour took the chair. Apologies were received from Mr G Blatherwick, Mr A Footitt, Mr P Chettle, Mr G Shaw and Mrs P Hickling.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and were signed by the Chairman to be a correct record.

Thr Treasurer Mr S Shaw read out the accounts and it was shown that the club had 101 pounds, 4 shillings and 7 and a half pence but most of this would be needed for equipment during the coming season.. A Vote of thanks were made to Mr S Shaw for the work he had put into keeping the accounts over the last year.
Mr S Shaw commented on the team for their good sportsmanship both on and off the field during the last season.

In view of the rising cost of equipment that the club would be needing it was proposed to raise the annual subscription to £2 per person and raise the match subs up to 40p with 20p for junior members. It was also proposed that after 6 matches a non paying player should be approached for membership.

The captains were then elected for the 1978 season as follows

The committee was re elected as the previous year

The Umpires were then elected Mr J Smith Mr E Chettle Mr S Shaw Mr A Pepper

The averages were then read as above. A vote of thanks was given to Mr R Pick for all his hard work on the seasons averages.

It was discussed the possibility of the club purchasing a second hand roller and this matter was left to members discretion.

It was agreed that the annual dinner should be held again at Mapperley Banquetting suite on Friday 10th March 1978.

Mr I Adkin proposed that a gift be sent to Thomas Seymour who is at present in hospital, but Mr Seymour said he had plenty of books etc but a letter from the club would be appreciated.

The meeting then closed with a vote of thanks for Mr G Seymour for taking the chair, for agreeing to continue as President of the club, and for all the help and interest taken in club activities over the past year.
